  • To stop potatoes from budding, place them in a paper bag with an apple.
  • To make ripe tomatoes firm again, dip them in cold water, add salt, and leave overnight.
  • Mushrooms stay fresher longer when wrapped in a tea towel and placed in a net bag.
  • When storing herbs in the refrigerator, snip off the ends, store them upright in a glass of water.
  • When storing green chillies, remove the stems. This will help them stay fresh longer.
  • Preserve lemons by rubbing coconut oil on them and place them in an open tray in the refregirator. They will stay fresh up to 10days.
